Based in upstate New York, photographer George Cannon has been photographing the landscape of the area since the mid-1970′s. His photograph, Steam Power - View of Cayuga Lake from Camp Barton, was selected for the Center’s “Elements of Water” exhibition.
George recalls the scene when he made the photograph:
“The shore was covered with a thin blanket of snow and the lake was still in the late light of day. The power plant up the eastern shore bled a cloud of steam into the cold air that glowed bright in the last of the sunlight.”
